Imaging Center

Imaging services are available on-site at the Crystal Imaging Center. You will find advanced diagnostic imaging technology, friendly and knowledgeable technologists and highly skilled radiologists. We offer:

X-Ray

X-Ray images are the original and most frequently used form of medical imaging. X-Ray images are produced by exposing your body to a very small amount of radiation which penetrates the body and is captured on film, by digital sensors or a computer imaging plate.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound (or sonographic) images are generated by a probe that emits sound waves and receives their reflection from various body parts to generate a picture. No radiation is used.

Bone Density

Physicians use DEXA bone densitometry as a fast and painless way to measure bone mineral density or bone mass loss. This exam is commonly used to detect osteoporosis.

Digital Mammography

A mammogram is an x-ray of the breast. There are two different types of mammograms. A screening mammogram is ordered for women who have no problems with their breast. A diagnostic mammogram is for evaluation of new abnormalities of patients with a past abnormality requiring follow-up. Imaging Center of Crystal offers a screening mammogram, diagnostic services are offered at the The Breast Center of Maple Grove.

CT

Computed Tomography or CT scan, uses a small amount of radiation to produce detailed cross-sectional images of the body. In some instances, patients may be given an intravenous injection to increase the contrast between different tissues.

MRI

MRI is an advanced medical imaging technique. MRI makes use of strong magnets and radio waves to create cross-sectional images of the body. No radiation is used.  MRI images are highly detailed and provide insight into a wide variety of medical conditions. In some instances, patients may be given an intravenous injection to increase the contrast between different tissues.
