Many types of ultrasound exams are available. These need to be ordered by your clinician. Some ultrasounds have special instructions that the appointment desk will give to patients. Common ultrasounds that are done include:
* Gallbladder (to look for stones)
* Pelvic (uterus and ovaries)
* Carotid artery (blood flow to the brain)
* Kidney
* Abdominal aorta (to look for aneurysm)
* Obstetrical (pregnancy)
