The American Diabetes Association recommends a dilated eye exam once a year for persons with diabetes. Northwest Family Physicians now has a state of the art digital camera that is used to take pictures of the back of the eye so that this exam can be preformed quickly and easily in our office in about 10 minutes. It is very important to have this exam as damage to your vision from diabetes can occur with no noticeable symptoms or warning signs. Please be sure to schedule this important yearly exam.
